Where to Find Awesome Festivals

Traveling full time has its advantages. Not only are we able to pick up and go wherever and whenever, we also get to check out some AMAZING sights across the country. And not just sights, but activities. Some you can’t find anywhere else in the country!

Assuming you haven’t lived under a rock your whole life, you probably know of some kind of festival in your area, or a big name festival (I.E. Sundance Film Festival). But for those who aren’t quite sure, let’s define festival. Wikipedia defines Festival as – celebration that focuses upon a theme, and may run for hours to weeks. The theme of a festival might be an area of interest such as art, or an aspect of the community in which the festival is being held, such as the community’s history or culture. Festivals are often periodical, for example, held annually.

When we decided on this full time RV life, we joined several RV related Facebook groups to get helpful tips and tricks to this life. Several months ago, a lady in one of the group mentioned she wanted to put together a list of festivals across the country that her and her husband should visit. Apparently there is a Bacon Festival in Pennsylvania?!?! Sorry… Squirrel! … She got quite a response with a wide variety of festivals across the country. With her permission to write up this blog post, I went through the whole post and typed up every suggestion listed in the comments. I wrote them out by state so it’s easy to find a festival near you! Or if you want to take a weekend road trip somewhere close.
